Asking me to add my whole Sync folder to a library is a lazy solution. It's a storage folder, and I don't need to give Windows the overhead of scanning through 300k extra files where it will find nothing but 1000 media files that are already in other libraries.
For me it's not really suitable to add the whole Sync folder to a library. Sorry no, adding to a library has a performace impact especially given that my Sync folder already contains my music and camera videos etc.
So Sync told me to just add it to a library instead. It would be a quick win to improve the Sync client, and it definitely needs a lot of TLC. It should be easy enough to add to the Sync client - I use a lot of different cloud storage clients and all of them do it except Sync. Something like this - Dropbox and Mega have already done it, and we all know the OneDrive icon we see in Windows 10 before we search for a way to to uninstall it ) I asked Sync ages ago about adding an icon to Explorer navigation pane so I could browse my Sync folder from there.
